This role will be the primary customer escalation point for customer programs and quotes managed by Stellantis out of their xPSA French locations. Program scope would primarily include Engineering Services including OTA and Ignite program activities, with quote pursuit involvement including but not limited to new Intelligent Cockpit and Car Audio HARMAN business unit pursuits. The role will be the primary local escalation path for the customer. They will maintain the technical customer relationship and have overall oversight responsibility for the schedule, scope and budget for all of the customers' Stellantis Paris managed programs.Your TeamThis position will not have any direct reports at this time, however will be directly interfacing with 3-5 key Intelligent Cockpit Program Managers, Resident Engineers, and Co-op students.What You Will DoImplementation of the initial Harman PLM Process into the execution phasesResponsible for project set-up and deployment readinessResponsible for budget planning and forecasting for all active projectsResponsible for resource forecasting and planning for all active projectsBe the customer Program Management interface, responsible to manage the customer.Build and maintain a customer interface team to support customer relationships and manage the overall program developmentResponsible for evaluation, and development of team members’ performance.Manage program risk proactively, identify program risks and coordinate meetings with the PM and multi-discipline functions to address risks before they become issues.Accountable for ensuring communication of the customer requirements within the organization and interface with multiple groups to ensure the customer’s expectations are being met.Provide program status and represent program internally and externally to senior-level executives during program, quality, and operations reviews.Set direction and influence cross-department engagement for program execution and drive synchronization across multiple program teams.What You NeedPh.D. degree in Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience in corporate or academic research; alternatively, Master’s Degree in above-mentioned fields and 8 years of experience in research and development or Bachelor’s Degree and 12 years’ experience10-15 years of Program Management, Engineering, Requirements Management, or related backgroundBroad technical background with general knowledge of Bluetooth, WiFi, cellular technology, smartphones, navigation, GPS, tuner, satellite radio, video, voice recognition, hands-free operation, vehicle bus, advanced safety, cloud-based services, and automotive requirementsPractical experience in related areas such as system design, hardware/software design, and real-time embedded applicationsProven technical leadership within the technology industry or automotive industryExperience with the use of rapid prototyping tools for software and hardware, electronics, and mechanical design for consumer electronics and future device platformsMust have a general knowledge of automotive infotainment systems and their applicationsPrevious experience in all phases of the software development process (Requirements, Scope, Design/Plan, Develop, Test, and Customer Acceptance.)Must be able to articulate vision and influence decision making outcomes with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and the customerExtraordinary oral and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively with business and technology leaders.Experience managing external and internal vendors/partnersExceptional reputation as an innovator based on having created forward-looking research, projects, and award-winning publicationsMust have a "whatever-it-takes" attitude using diplomatic leadership skills within a collaborative teamwork environment to accomplish the necessary resultsAbility to communicate advanced and complex concepts and ideas persuasively and concisely to all levels of the businessMust have: fluent in French and EnglishWhat is Nice to HaveProven and effective communication, analytical, judgment, initiative and execution skills.Strong Business acumen required; preferably with P&L experienceAnalytical thinking; preferably certified Green or Black BeltDrive for Results, Team Player, Change Orientation, Customer Focus, Self-AwarenessExperience with managing distributed development teams is preferredWhat Makes You EligibleBe willing to travel up to 10%, domestic and international travelBe willing to work in an office in Paris FranceWhat We Offer Access to employee discounts on world-class HARMAN/Samsung products (JBL, Harman Kardon, AKG, etc.) Professional development opportunities through HARMAN University’s business and leadership academies Flexible work schedule with a culture encouraging work-life integration and collaboration in a global environment An inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development “Be Brilliant” employee recognition and rewards program HARMAN is proud to be an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
