This role is critical to ensuring the financial health and sustainability of Arev St. Tropez, providing strategic financial insights and guidance to support our business objectives.
Main responsibilities :
Oversee accounting, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, budgeting, forecasting and analysis, and fixed assets register
Maintain accounting system and financial records for multiple entitles in France
Monitor and supervise reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, and manage cash flows
Manage accounts payable and process all payments in line with the Company’s approval and signatory matrix
Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process by producing management and financial reports across all entities with budget vs. actual variance commentary
Prepare management presentations and funding request documentation for all entities
Prepare annual financial statements and liaise directly with external auditors
Work with external tax advisors to complete and submit relevant tax returns
Oversee annual audit
Ensure all property tax assessments are correctly valued and paid on time for all properties
Oversee preparation of annual budget and forecast for approval and track capital and operating budgets and spend across multiple construction & development projects
Track and allocate intercompany charges across multiple entities, including appropriate invoicing records between relevant entities
Track and maintain various debt schedules, including interest calculations and payments
Prepare and submit VAT returns
Ensure all payroll related reporting, social security and taxes are completed
Monitor internal controls related to financial reporting
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Oversee and maintain all insurance policies, including regular review of values and limits
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Monitor and ensure that all relevant government filings and reporting is completed on time across all entities and compliant with government regulations
Maintain all corporate records and supervise statutory corporate and fiscal filings in accordance with French legislation requirements.
Coordinate with the General Manager and Ownership in meeting strategic goals of the organization, including monitoring and improving hotel’s operational costs, profitability and managing business risks.
Qualifications :
Chartered accountant or equivalent accounting experience with a degree in accounting
7+ years of experience in accounting, tax, and corporate management in a hospitality environment, preferably including projects in construction and opening stages
Demonstrates the ability to run accounting, finance and tax function whilst preserving complex tax structure
Hight IT proficiency with hospitality accounting point of sale, property management systems, preferably with NetSuite experience
Exceptional time, task, and resource management skills
Ability to plan for and keep track of multiple projects and deadlines
Strong problem solving, critical thinking, excellent verbal and written communication skills
High level of interpersonal skills, discretion, confidentiality and ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels
Fluent in French and English
