Job Requirements / Description

The Regional CFO NAUKI (North America, UK and Ireland) & INORCEE (Italy, Nordics & Central Eastern Europe) is responsible for leading the finance function in an organization with around 170 employees across 10 countries.

The Regional CFO will partner with the members of the regional leadership team on plans and initiatives to grow the profitability of the business whilst ensuring financial compliance to local regulation. As a member of the Global Finance Executive Team, she/he also contributes transversally and proactively to the management and the transformation of the global finance family of AXA Partners.

Key Responsibilities

Financial and Strategic Planning

  1. In collaboration with the Finance central team, set the financial targets (Revenues, earnings, RoE, cash, etc.) for the region through producing Strat plans, budgets, and forecasts. Decide on the split of these targets by entities, working with entity CFOs.
  2. Ensure the delivery on the targets for the region. Proactively communicate to the Finance central team on the execution of the budget, highlight risks and opportunities, propose and implement mitigating measures for the risks identified.
  3. Lead efficiency initiatives to optimize productivity in the region.
  4. Enforce Financial monitoring of CLP activity across the region.

Financial Compliance

  1. Sign off on financial and tax information published by the legal entities within the region.
  2. Ensure the effectiveness of the Internal control framework for financial reporting.
  3. Manage relationship with external auditors and other key external stakeholders (Tax authorities, regulators, etc.).

Finance and Strategy Team Lead

  1. Lead and manage the entity Finance Heads and teams across the countries in the region to drive effective performance delivery and align objectives.
  2. Lead the Finance team processes: recruitments, replacements, talent management, succession plans, retention, evaluations.
  3. Contribute transversally as a Finance Executive to the steering and management of the Finance team/processes for the AXA Partners Group.

Minimum Requirements

  • Accounting or business degree qualification.
  • Significant experience in leading the finance and/or strategy functions in a large, global organization.
  • Experience in a multi-cultural environment with proven leadership skills in managing multi-site teams.
  • Technical skills such as financial planning and accounting, risk management.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry and local markets, regulatory environment, competitors.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders in one’s own functional area, non-finance community, and Excom members.
  • Fluency in English and French.
