With yearly growth rates in the double digits, the company has been undergoing a deep transformation to adapt to the requirements of a mushrooming and global business. In this context, we are building out our legal team adding a foundational expertise in Corporate, Risk & Insurance, Real Estate to support our continuous growth.
The Position
As Corporate, Risk & Insurance, Real Estate, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining statutory registers, overseeing insurance policies, and managing real estate processes.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
Company secretary
Maintain the company statutory registers for subsidiaries worldwide.
Ensure timely updates and filings in trade registries as needed.
Coordinate and prepare necessary documentation for board meetings, including drafting Board/Shareholder materials.
Risk Management
Oversee and coordinate all business insurance policies, including budgeting, forecasting, and renewal processes.
Support in reviewing contracts with a specific emphasis on insurance clauses.
Lead communication with insurance brokers, ensure ongoing management of insurance policies and claims.
Review and analyze loss reports and collaborate with stakeholders to develop appropriate action plans.
Stay up to date with trends in the insurance industry, maintain a thorough knowledge of insurance products, coverage, and pricing.
Assist in gathering and organizing data for the annual renewal of the corporate insurance program.
Manage brokers, approve submissions, and negotiate terms and premiums.
Real Estate
Conduct real estate transactions to include new leases, renewals and amendments, subleases, early termination agreements, lease modifications, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements.
Support optimization of real estate assets by developing metrics, KPI’s, and tracking systems to analyze cost of occupancy and space utilization rates.
Develop governance methodologies to ensure that all leased facilities are maintained in accordance with lease requirements.
Experience, Skills and Educational Background
A strong academic background in civil and business law.
Have at least 5 years of progressively responsible experience practicing law, with a focus on corporate law, risk management, insurance, and real estate.
Demonstrate substantial experience in handling corporate legal matters, risk management, insurance contracts, and real estate transactions.
Showcase expertise in ensuring compliance with insurance regulations and a deep understanding of insurance clauses in various legal contexts.
Proven track record in negotiating and drafting a wide range of contracts, particularly those related to real estate and insurance.
Exhibit a strong understanding of risk assessment and mitigation strategies within a corporate and real estate context.
Ideally, have experience working in a multinational or matrix organizational setting.
Fluent in French and English.
