The ANR NoToBAlz (
//anr.Fr/Project-ANR-23-CEproject aims to develop nanobody thermogels (VHH) directed against Aß and ptau proteins (pathognomic of Alzheimer's disease). The objective of the first phase of the project is to be able to administer these nanobodies via the "nose-to-brain" route in the form of thermogels.
The post holder will have to characterize the polymer-nanbody interactions and their consequences on the development of thermogels and the gelation process. He/she will have to propose new thermogel compositions to best meet the project specifications (efficient encapsulation, mucoadhesion, controlled release of nanobodies). He/she will be required to synthesize thiolated polymers (thiomers) by adapting simple methods already developed in the laboratory. Experience in polymer chemistry and/or physicochemical characterization of polymers and/or biochemistry of polymer/protein interactions is highly desirable.
The project is conducted under the responsibility of teacher-researchers working in the field and belonging to the CITHEFOR research team (Project Manager:
Dr. Stéphane GIBAUD).
It is carried out in collaboration with the Pasteur Institute and the Brain Institute (Paris, CNRS).
Synthesis and characterization of thiomers
- ptimization of the synthesis of chitosan or alginate thiomers (based on an existing protocol in the laboratory);
Additional activities
- Monitoring of the research project, scientific presentations.
- Writing of publications.
- Manage and organize laboratory equipment stocks (inventory, order preparation, storage) related to the project.
