We are currently looking for a permanent full-time Pipeline Supervisor to join our team.The Pipeline Supervisor is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, developing, and enhancing our pipeline.Details/Application Portal here: https://the-embassy-vfx-inc.hiringthing.com/job/209478/pipeline-supervisor?s=cw 3 RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY DUTIES:Work closely with the entire production team and head of IT to ensure that the pipeline meets the needs of the company as a whole.Manage, prioritize, review, and resolve tickets related to pipeline issues and needs.Drive the design, implementation, and evolution of the pipeline.Perform ad-hoc research and development for show specific and studio-wide tools.Assist with troubleshooting and resolving any problems with farm management.Ensure the unimpeded flow of data throughout the pipeline.REQUIREMENTS:A great positive attitude!Able to work well under stressful situations and with minimal supervision;Able to clearly communicate technical information to non-technical personnel;Excellent written and verbal communication skills;Consistently produces a high quality of work in deadline-oriented environments;5+ years of experience in a VFX/animation pipeline role or related role;Expert knowledge of Python;Expert knowledge of relational databases (MySQL/Postgres);Expert knowledge in DCC software scripting and plugin development (Maya/Houdini/Nuke);Experience with building C/C++ libraries, tools, and plugins from scratch;A deep understanding of Linux, OS X, user environments, and shell scripting;A deep understanding of MVC patterns for UI development;Maintain relationships with software vendors;Experience with ORMs (SQLAlchemy);Experience with license server management (rlm, flexlm);Experience with render managers and distributive computing environments;Experience with the Shotgun API;Experience with open source tools (OCIO, OIIO, Alembic, USD, VFX reference platform);Experience with rez is a plus;Experience with static analysis tools is a plus;Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field;A constant drive to learn and improve yourself as well as the pipeline.Who We AreThe Embassy is an independent creative studio with expertise in visual effects and production.
