In this role, you will participate in the development of our data stores.Our tools of trade are a good code editor to write in C, Python and some Go on a Linux environment. For sure, your development on a distributed system will have an impact since our core technology is serving hundreds of customers and millions of end users.ResponsibilitiesDesign new features on our storage systemsDevelop themTest themDocument themHelp troubleshoot the code when neededReview designs, code, tests, documentations from your peersRequirementsYou have significant experience with system programming in C on Linux on multi-threaded softwareYou have worked on distributed systemsYou are able to design architecture to solve problems at high scaleYou know how to test software, what to test and whenYou are familiar with GitYou are at ease working in an English-speaking environmentYou have a BS/MS/PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experienceBonusKnowledge of storage technologiesPerformance tuningExperience with Python and/or GoKnowledge of Kubernetes and container technologiesOfficeScality is an international company with R&D split between Paris and San Francisco, and other offices in Tokyo, London and many other places around the world.
