Within the R&D department and in cooperation with other departments of the group, your mission will be to collect and understand the business needs and monitor the initiatives on vessel performance. The main subject of the project: it’s about connecting vessels by sending high frequency data, automatically from vessel sensors in order to be analyzed on shore. The data will be united with other data sources which will be used to make performance analytics of the fleet. The intended specifications concern the development of tools / dashboards for data analysis and decision-making aid based on 3 axes: Ship Performance Monitoring Predictive Maintenance Nautical Safety Responsibilities You will be part of the performance analytics team and part of your tasks will include: Monitor and analyze vessel performance data, including fuel consumption, speed, power, and other operational parameters. Develop, implement, and maintain performance improvement methodologies. Identify and further investigate performance issues, deviations or anomalies and provide recommendations for improvement. Conduct root-cause analysis for underperformance/inefficiencies, proposing also corrective actions that lead to efficiency improvement onboard. Collaborate with vessel superintendents, engineers, and technical expert teams to gather performance data and ensure accurate and timely the required actions and reporting. Generate performance reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal or external stakeholders, management, and clients. Perform trend analysis to identify operational patterns and potential areas for improvement, using data science tools and/or collaborating with Data Science team. Join forces with software developers & IT teams to enhance performance monitoring tools and systems. Profile and required skills Bachelor's degree in marine engineering, naval architecture, maritime studies, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and manipulate large datasets. Knowledge of vessel operations, propulsion systems, and maritime regulations, good physical understanding of vessel performance related subjects. Familiarity with performance monitoring tools, data analysis software, and statistical and ML modeling techniques. Expert knowledge of MS Office and good knowledge of programming languages, such as Python, MATLAB etc. Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex technical information to non-technical teams. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines. Knowledge of energy efficiency measures and environmental regulations in the maritime industry is an advantage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
