Job ID: 2558848 | AWS EMEA SARL (France Branch)- 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related fieldDESCRIPTIONAmazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a self-motivated, high-judgement, well-connected and experienced public relations manager for France.The successful candidate will be comfortable providing counsel and guidance to senior executives and a variety of internal and external stakeholders across multiple disciplines. The ideal candidate has extensive media relations experience working with a press contacts across technology, vertical, and Tier 1 media. They will have a track record of proactive storytelling on a national scale, driving positive news cycles, and having ability to manage complex reactive issues. The right candidate is an excellent writer, can balance strategic thinking with tactical, detailed execution, is able to exercise high-judgement while making decisions quickly, and is comfortable working with senior business leaders. This role is based in Paris, will require being in the office minimum of three days a week, and will require periodic travel.Key job responsibilitiesResponsibilities:• Regularly interact with senior French and international leadership to develop and communicate AWS’s stories and strategic messages.• Support the development and delivery of the communications strategy and plan for France.• Develop and strengthen relationships with technology and top-tier business media and influencers.• Drive proactive technology and customer-focused stories.• Regularly write and edit compelling media assets and plans, including press releases, blogs, and communications plans, as well as regularly update local messaging.• Manage complex, fast-moving, and unexpected communications challenges with high-judgement and professionalism.• Comfortable in dealing with ambiguity and resourceful in problem-solving.• Experienced management of an agency to support PR activities.A day in the lifeAbout the team• A highly experienced senior communications professional with significant experience working within highly matrixed, complex organizational structures.• Experience leading high-profile brand campaigns and working in a cross-functional team to deliver integrated campaigns.• An understanding of global affairs, and a deep understanding of relevant EU and French policy topics.• Experience managing media relations for a high-profile multinational and/or technology company with a strong network of top-tier media contacts across France.• Experience working in B2B and technology communications.• Demonstrable success working with senior leaders in high-profile situations, providing strategic communications counsel.• An entrepreneurial spirit, including the ability to work independently and autonomously.• Strong judgement and the ability to respond quickly, yet thoughtfully, to urgent PR matters.• Fluency in a foreign language (ENGLISH)• Ability to set strategy and execute flawlessly, with outstanding attention to detail.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Courbevoie, FRAPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Ability to think and communicate clearly, formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues, and create a concise and well-written narrative- Collaborative - team player with a willingness to work hard and roll up sleeves to get work done- Moves fast - strong bias for action but maintains exceptionally high standards on the work and the resultsAmazon est un employeur engagé pour l'égalité des chances.
