Senior Technical Architect Job Description: DXC’s growing and industry leading Insurance Business is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Technical Architect, you will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and resilient software solutions that meet the evolving needs of our global reinsurance customers. Responsibilities: Lead the architectural design and implementation of complex software systems using Java, AWS, Jenkins, Docker, Redis, and Spring Boot technologies. Define technical requirements, architecture, and design patterns to meet business objectives and scalability goals. Evaluate and recommend appropriate tools, technologies, and frameworks to optimize software development processes and enhance system performance. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, guiding them in best practices, code reviews, and architectural decisions. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize features, and deliver high-quality solutions within established timelines. Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins and Docker to automate build, test, and deployment processes. Design and implement microservices architectures leveraging Spring Boot and AWS cloud services for improved scalability, reliability, and performance. Adhere to agile development processes, including the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), by participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Facilitate technical discussions and contribute to the refinement of user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical debt management. Conduct performance analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure the efficiency and stability of software applications. Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and incorporate them into architectural designs and development processes. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Proven experience as a Technical Architect or similar role, with a strong background in software development and architecture. Extensive hands-on experience with Java programming language and Spring Boot framework. Proficiency in cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, Fargate, ECS). Solid understanding of DevOps practices and tools, including Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform. Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures and RESTful APIs. Familiarity with agile development methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Fluency in written and spoken English as a business language. AWS certification(s) (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
