As part of the Construction & Commissioning (C&C) Technology team, which has a global reach, you will be responsible for technical expertise related to construction and commissioning activities. You will act as a key contact in the development of the technical strategy for site activities at bid stage and will constructively impact the engineering phases to ensure optimum constructability of the designs. You will maintain and formalize the company's technological know-how and be a force for proposing new solutions. The Construction Expert will support the preparatory and execution phases of the work on site by validating the critical points raised by the Site Methods team as well as by the staff in charge of project management (Project Manager C&C and Project Director), contributing to the resolution of relatively complex technical problems raised by the staff on site. Key responsibilities: Represent globally C&C technical know-how and interface with Chief Engineer’s Office to continuously improve the design practices promoting constructability. Provide leadership and guidance in the design review and site execution processes, as well as presiding over formal reviews/workshops/events. Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience providing technical mentoring. Maintain and formalize C&C technology know-how by producing and updating C&C practices or technical training material. Serve as best practice resource. Have awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contribute towards strategy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility. Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering. Take new perspective on existing solutions. Use technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Use multiple internal and external sources to arrive at decisions. May lead small projects about C&C innovation with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explain difficult or sensitive information; work to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence other stakeholders. Disseminate lessons learned across the organization. Support C&C Division quality initiatives. Contribute to elaborate the technical strategy for site activities and identify risks and opportunities on C&C for projects in execution or in tendering stage.
