The Capital Performance and Analytics (CPA) team is composed of highly skilled members with a strong expertise covering several domains: Actuarial, Finance, L&H and P&C Business. The primary role of the team is to assist the Group in strategic decision-making by providing analysis around economic and capital performance (IFRS and S2), using data-driven insights. As part of his mandate, the Head of Capital Performance & Analytics has strong responsibilities in a few strategic projects, notably the lead of the new Finance IFRS Performance (FIP) project with the objective to set up a new Performance framework under IFRS 17, including Capital Performance KPIs. The Operational Lead will support the Head of Capital Performance & Analytics to deliver economic analysis on Performance and strategic projects as well as other duties assigned to the team. Responsible for delivering on a quarterly basis, all group economic performance analysis (IFRS 17 and S2) performed by the team, together with the Economic Performance and Analytics Senior Manager who is managing on a day-to-day basis the team members that produce quarterly performance analytics in the IFRS 17 and S2 frameworks. This analysis supports timely results landing/closing internal processes and external communications/publications. Ensure that analytical frameworks and materials around key performance indicators are developed and maintained by the team to support the messaging on group economic performance, both internally and externally. Ensure that related findings and recommendations to senior executives, Comex, and other internal/external stakeholders are presented in a clear and concise manner in various communications to Senior stakeholders. Contribute to the delivery of all strategic projects/duties under the responsibility of the Head of Capital Performance & Analytics (i.e., FIP project, Group Analytical Framework to compare IFRS 17 and S2 performance drivers and align core projection models). Ensure strong collaboration with other stakeholders within Finance (notably L&H, P&C and Corporate performance teams) and outside Finance (Risk Management team, Business Units, etc.) on transversal projects and Group performance analysis on key indicators. Manage the delivery of key projects in collaboration with the CPA technical leads: ensure that advanced data analytics tools and techniques are developed, maintained, and utilized by the team to extract relevant information supporting various analysis around economic and capital performance. Team Management: Attract and develop the team, besides retaining key talent by ensuring they are continually challenged, motivated, and engaged. Understand how the intelligent use of technology can help the Group. Help the head of Capital Performance & Analytics to recruit, develop, and maintain a network of technically competent people. At least 13 years of relevant experience in insurance or broader financial services; experience in consulting or audit firms (or similar) would be a plus. Deep understanding of the business and financial impact of operational decisions. Strong knowledge of finance reporting systems and economic frameworks (e.g., ability to bridge from an accounting/prudential framework to another). Several years in directly managing international teams. Must be a fellow of a relevant Actuarial Society and possess a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a relevant field or have equivalent work experience (e.g., engineering).
