At Eutelsat Group, we’re united by inclusion and diversity, striving for gender balance and social responsibility, on Earth and in Space.Who You Are:You are the lead contributor on advanced communication payload activities within the Space Engineering Department in charge of defining advanced payload solutions for SDR satellites and LEO constellation and developing technical solutions for new applications.What You’ll Do:Applies in-depth knowledge on the definition and dimensioning phase for new SDR (Software Defined Radio) satellite generation and LEO constellations taking into account the strategic, commercial and operational requirements and the industrial issues; contribute to the development of the appropriate contractual documentation.Develop technical solutions in support to the Commercial and Strategy Department for the development of new systems and applications, in particular involving SDR satellites and constellations.Identify innovative concepts for the Eutelsat satellites and assess their relevance, and develop opportunities for and work on externally funded projects (e.g. ESA, EC).Participate to the establishment of the cost assessment of satellite and constellation systems.Perform and manage technical studies and assessments towards the optimization/evaluation of the communication performance requirements/utilization of EUTELSAT’s satellites, including those in the definition phase, in production and in-orbit when new applications or redeployments as required.Provide expertise, in coordination with Payload Engineers, for assessing the impact of non-compliances and proposing mitigations for satellite(s) in production.Propose solutions, in coordination with Payload Engineers and Operations Engineers, to anomalies of SDR satellites in-orbit regarding the system level communications and processor performance.Stay abreast of satellite, processed payload (including active antennas) and communications technology and architectures.What it Takes:University honors degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical, Physics or a related field.At least 15 years of experience in satellite communications and/or payload engineering, including a few years of experience in processed communication payload with on-board digital processors, software-defined radio, optical links, and active antennas.Good knowledge of satellite and constellation systems engineering, propagation, link budgets.Knowledge of digital communications and signal processing.Ability to work in a team.Excellent knowledge of English.Where You’ll Be: Paris, France.The Eutelsat Group treats the protection of personal data submitted to it seriously.
