The Senior Financial Analyst supports the Corporate Performance department in all its main tasks: Participation in the different planning and forecasting activities of the Group: Strategic plans, Operating plans, Full Year Landing update and quarterly landing processes Analysis of quarterly financial statements, performance measurement, variance analysis vs. Plan and Landing; elaboration of a quarterly analytical and reporting package, participation in the elaboration of internal and external presentations Support senior management by producing decision-support analytics including simulations and sensitivities to steer the business and optimize resources allocation and performance measurement Participate in the various Finance and non-Finance projects (e.g. FP&A Process Reengineering, Capital Allocation and Performance Management, Foundry, Segmental reporting, peers analysis, etc.) The Senior Financial Analyst has the following main duties and responsibilities: Produce and coordinate the Group quarterly landing process, including: Consolidation of the L&H/P&C/Expenses/Investments/Tax views Produce Group and segmental analysis Weekly update of the Group landing to the CFO and Comex Rethink the landing exercise to ensure a full efficiency of the process and an optimal allocation of resources and integrate IFRS 17 aspects and considerations Extend the analysis to non IFRS GAAP measurements (Value creation, Capital and Solvency The financial analysis should enable to understand what has happened across the Group over the period, and help identify trends, opportunities and risks that would impact the Group’s performance in the short / Medium / longer term. It will be key to measure the alignment / progress with our corporate goals and objectives. Closing support – Including preparation of Comex / AC presentations and assist other teams in reviewing internal and external communications (Analytical package, IR presentation, URD, etc.) Act as business partner for the L&H/P&C/Expenses/Investments Performance teams – Undertake appropriate studies and analysis to produce consolidated view. The FP&A team is a strong input provider to several other dependant group processes: timely delivery is key (upon agreement on priorities and level of quality). Anticipation is expected to manage potential production bottlenecks. Financial modelling is expected – as and when scenarios / business opportunities are envisaged. Involvement in strategic projects and other duties (ad-hoc analyses, benchmarks, preparation of internal memos, etc) as assigned by the Head of Corporate Performance Required experience & competencies Minimum 5 years work experience in financial services, preferable reinsurance or insurance Experience in financial planning & analysis, financial audit, controlling, consolidation or financial consulting Knowledge of IFRS (in particular IFRS 17) and Solvency II Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills Experience with SAP solutions (e.g. BFC, BPC, etc...)
