Summary: Develop and implement strategic talent management processes and manage the safety, welfare and administration of our employees. Responsibilities Human Resources Director · Serve as the liaison between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and helping resolve work-related issues. · Ensure compliance with company policy, fair employment practices and governmental regulations, taking appropriate steps to comply when necessary by advising and training managers on compliance. · Conduct investigations into employee misconduct, unemployment claims, harassment claims, EEOC charges, etc., working with legal counsel as appropriate. · Work with managers to develop and maintain Job Descriptions for each position in the company. · Work with the management team to develop and administer a talent management strategy that helps to identify, and fill missing key skills, supports and retains a productive and engaged workforce and drives business results. When staffing needs have been identified, recruit and assist with interviewing and selecting the right candidates for hire. · Work with managers to deal with issues such as understaffing, turnover, disciplinary action and terminations. · Ensure planning, monitoring and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees, have feedback meetings with them, hear and resolve employee issues and counsel employees as needed. · Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies and procedures, job duties, working conditions, wages, benefits and promotion opportunities. · Serve as Benefits Administrator by communicating benefits information to prospective and current employees. Assist employees with benefits related questions and problems. · Plan and conduct new employee orientation ensuring that the employee has a positive first impression of the company. · Enter new employee information into the payroll system. Prepare and maintain personnel, safety, benefit and medical files. · Process weekly contract employee payroll along with other weekly tasks such as attendance, employee reviews, filing, bonuses, etc. · Embrace and model the Company’s core values of Integrity, Compassion and Efficiency through team building, camaraderie, employee development and accountability. Safety Director · Assist managers with investigating and reporting injuries and accidents to the insurance carrier. · Act as the liaison with government regulatory and oversight agencies. · Perform safety audit and risk assessments at each location. Prepare report for managers to follow up on. · Provide safety training that meets OSHA regulations as appropriate for employees. · Comply with OSHA regulations by preparing and maintaining the OSHA 300 Log and 301 Forms. · Maintain OSHA documentation, SDS books, chemical lists and employee training records. · Receive all OSHA citations and determine the proper responses and actions under the direction of the Owners and their legal counsel. Skills Required · Interpersonal skills, including collaboration and communication skills. · Ability to work independently, prioritize and organize responsibilities and meet deadlines. · Strong problem-solving and managerial skills · Ability to multitask and pay attention to detail. · Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook #J-18808-Ljbffr
