We are seeking a highly skilled Mesh and Point Cloud Processing Specialist with a strong background in algorithm development and 3D data processing. This role offers the flexibility of fully remote or hybrid work within the EU timezone (CET +/- 2 hours). You will be responsible for developing and refining advanced algorithms to convert point clouds into meshes, focusing on precision, performance, and scalability. You will collaborate with a talented team to deliver robust and innovative products while staying up to date with the latest research and advancements in the field. Accountabilities

  • Develop and optimize algorithms to convert point clouds into accurate, efficient, and robust meshes
  • Design methods to process, simplify, and adapt meshes for various application requirements
  • Analyze, evaluate, and continuously enhance the performance and scalability of mesh and point cloud processing solutions
  • Work collaboratively with developers and engineers to ensure the seamless integration of solutions into products
  • Keep up with cutting-edge research and advancements in 3D data processing, contributing innovative ideas and solutions to complex challenges
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and product development strategies

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or equivalent expertise in Computer Graphics, 3D data processing, mesh generation, or point cloud processing
  • Extensive experience in developing algorithms for point cloud transformation and mesh processing
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python for high-performance computational geometry tasks
  • Familiarity with libraries, tools, and frameworks related to 3D computer graphics and computational geometry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication skills and a desire to collaborate effectively with others
