The Head of Global DRS Development will report to the Secretary General of the ICC International Court of Arbitration and Director of ICC DRS and manage the growing DRS team of Regional Directors in Europe, the Americas, the Gulf, Africa and Asia.The role will be based at the ICC Headquarters in Paris, France.The roleAs part of their main responsibilities, the Global Head of DRS development will:Design and implement a strategic plan for the development of ICC Dispute Resolution Services globallyDefine and supervise DRS regional business development strategiesDevelop and execute workplans for all regions ensuring alignment with the annual global business planImplement and coordinate regions’ promotion and development activities in order to enhance cross-regions synergies and best practices sharingLead development-critical projects as determined by the Secretary General of the ICC CourtDeliver presentations to key players in the legal and business community (including government representatives, in-house counsel and lawyers)Respond to queries on ICC arbitration and ADR in coordination with the Secretariat of the ICC Court and the ICC International Centre for ADRDefine and on occasion participate in conferences, seminars and workshops with a focus on ICC arbitration and ADRSupervise and monitor the development and coordination of substantive content – craft/build effective conference session content for the regions’ conference and local Arbitration and ADR eventsSpeak or otherwise participate at key conferences, seminars and workshops organised by other bodiesComply with the reporting requirements to the relevant authorities as and when requiredDetermine KPIs to measure regional and overall development progress and achievementsRequirementsApplicants should be qualified lawyers in international arbitration or experts on business development within the legal environment, with at least 10 years of experience in similar positionsCandidates must have proven experience in developing, organising and promoting business development or promotion of legal services, ideally dispute resolutions servicesSuccessful candidates are able to work on managing a P&L and developing offer/service strategies in order to improve the impact and value created by our servicesCandidates must be well organised, have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to work effectively in a multicultural teamExperience in multisite or regional management is a mustExcellent verbal and writing skills in English is required.
