Post-Doctoral Researcher in Biochemistry/Biophysics: We are seeking a highly motivated Post-Doctoral Researcher to join the “Regulation of Actin Assembly Dynamics” team at the Institut Jacques Monod, Université Paris Cité, Paris. This position focuses on characterizing the mechanical properties of actin filament networks, leveraging advanced quantitative in vitro methodologies.Designation: Post-Doctoral ResearcherResearch Area: Biochemistry/Biophysics of the CytoskeletonMinimum Requirements:PhD in Biology, Soft Matter Physics, or related fieldStrong interest in Biology/BiochemistryIndependent work capability and collaboration skillsProficiency in scientific English (minimum level B1)French language skills are not requiredJob Description: The successful candidate will join a collaborative project to explore how actin regulatory proteins influence the architecture and dynamics of actin networks. This role involves:Developing and utilizing new methodologiesConducting and quantitatively analyzing experimentsCommunicating resultsWriting reports and research articlesThe researcher will employ a variety of techniques, including fluorescence microscopy, microfluidics, optical tweezers, and micropatterning to manipulate and study fluorescent filaments.Work Context: The Institut Jacques Monod (IJM) is a premier research center for fundamental biology in Paris, housed in an 8,000-square-meter facility on the Université Paris Cité campus. The IJM hosts around thirty research groups specializing in cell and developmental biology, biophysics, and genomics, providing a vibrant and multidisciplinary research environment.
