Our legal department is looking for a Legal Counsel to provide legal services to our Operations & Services Department, covering the Construction, Maintenance and the Distribution activities across the Voltalia group. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced commercial / contracts lawyer to join a successful and growing renewable energy business, supporting our green energy international vision and mission. Responsibilities include: Responding on behalf of the company to requirements for third party client tenders Providing legal analysis, drafting and negotiation of national and international contracts for the construction and operation of renewable power plants (EPC, O&M) Acting on behalf of the company to analyse and mitigate risk, to draft and negotiate contracts related to distribution activities such as agency, distribution, partnership agreements, etc. Act on behalf of the company in disputes; providing advice on legal issues such as customer and suppliers claims, pre-litigation and litigation Provide generalist support for the company's legal requirements; drafting letters, policies, contract templates and legal documents; ensuring accurate legal advice is given and that procedures are followed as per current local legislative and statutory compliance Keep up to date with changes and developments in case law, contract law, liability, public procurement, local legislation, etc. REQUIREMENTS 5 years of proven experience minimum Experience in Projects (Construction & Maintenance) Strong knowledge of contract law and construction law Good knowledge and experience of common law Command of French or Portuguese appreciated Proficiency in English KEY SKILLS Ability to identify and analyse main issues, to see the big picture Business partner and team player Proven negotiations skills Able to work in autonomy while under the management of the legal manager Management of priorities Curiosity, creativity, solution-oriented Location for this role: France, Portugal or Ireland Permanent position COMPANY Voltalia France SA BUSINESS LINE Legal CONTRACT TYPE Permanent Contract LOCATION France, Aix-en-Provence STARTING DATE Sep 24 #J-18808-Ljbffr
