Application Engineer

We are looking for an Application Engineer for PCB DesignLocation: France, Paris-VelizyReports to: AE Director Job Description, Role and Key Responsibilities As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for pre-sale and post-sale activities on our Cadence PCB Solutions, part of the EDA Electronic Design Automation domain. Our tools are used to design printed circuit boards of any electronic system.You will work closely with top-tier customers supporting technical campaigns for pre-sales by creating and conducting technical presentations, product demonstrations, training, knowledge transfer, and services delivery.You will recommend technical solutions based on Cadence PCB solutions and identify opportunities or risks that are linked to those proposals. You will work with the sales team to build a strategy for new prospects and propose the best technical solution.You will provide technical training or workshops and technical support to our European customers. You will investigate customer issues and identify workarounds. You will share customer feedback and suggestions with R&D. You will be part of the team to contribute and participate in team projects. Position Requirements, Experience, Education A Master's Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.Expertise in Schematic Entry and PCB Design is an added advantage.A basic understanding of PCB tools in the context of PCB Design Conception Flows.Experience with any electronic software for board design is desirable.Experience in PCB design would be a plus.Experience in signal and power integrity at the PCB level would be a plus.Knowledge of TCL or other programming languages would be a plus.Excellent French written and oral communication skills.Good English written and oral communication skills. You can follow English classes to improve your skills.Ability to work in a multinational engineering environment, convincing and communicating with internal teams and external customers.Ability to travel; some travels are required for customer visits and internal training classes.Excellent team spirit.We’re doing work that matters.
