Job DescriptionAs a Game Technical Director for the Division Resurgence you are responsible for the course and direction for our Engine, Client, Graphics and Online Programming Teams in the context of a co-Development environment and knowledge transfer. Your main duty is to be the main technical reference of the project. In short, you are the expert. You will report to the producer of the project.You are the first technical point of contact for the team and our partners in other studios. You regularly interact with the core team of the project to define the technical direction. You have the big picture in mind and make sure that the teams are aligned on the vision.You will oversee the direction of the project and make it compatible with the business and production constraints; you ramp up the online infrastructure, enable the entire tool stack of the game, and be responsible for the quality excellence of the product for our playersYou coach and mentor the development teams, speak for them, make sure they are all set-up for success, and grow new leads to guarantee maximum autonomy and efficiency.What you will do:Define the requirements and technical constraints with a view to realizing the creative visionHelp shaping and recruiting the organization of the development teamWork with Directors/Producers to align the high-level vision of the gameDefine guidelines to ensure the technical realizationContribute to the strategic development, for example recruitment, investment, portfolio, trainings, R&D etc.Guarantee the game is delivered on time with the expected level of quality and craftsmanship on all the target platformsQualificationsWhat you bring:You have an extensive experience in leading technical teams, and you understand the notion of Servant LeadershipYou are always studying where the industry is going and what are the latest technologies and trends related to programming in video games areYou are a strategic thinker. You observe, reflect and challenge the status quo. You do not wonder what the future holds, you define itYou are comfortable with a risk-taking approach in a very complex context where you do not control every aspect and every detailYou are ambitious and strive for the highest quality. You know how to bring a team there in a considerate manner but know when and how to be stricterRequired qualificationsExperience in producing AAA console, PC or mobile titles, with a lead, senior or TD responsibilityYou have already shipped several of those gamesStrong experience with Unreal EngineStrong C/C++ knowledge: performance analysis, optimization, and debugging skills.Experience with several programming aspects of game development: gameplay, AI, engine, rendering, tools, online, audio, physiqueComprehensive understanding of mobile, memory systems, and cross-platform game development best practices.Experience with technical design documentationExcellent English communication skillsDesired qualificationsFamiliar with the mobile industry and/or the free to play industryFamiliarity with current and next generation mobile SDKs and store frontsExpertise in Rendering, Mathematics, Physics, AIShipped a multiplayer game.Understanding of other related domains: Game design, art, animation, productionChinese and/or FrenchAdditional InformationRecruitment ProcessIntro interview with a recruiterInterview with the producerTechnical discussionFinal interviewUbisoft’s Perks Profit Sharing, yearly company saving plan. 25 paid days off + 12 additional paid days off. 50% of your Navigo pass is paid by the company, lunch vouchers (9€/day), healthcare for you and your family, and lots of Ubisoft additional perks.
