Head of Ultrasound imaging / Medical Echography M/F

English Version Enterprise Adoc Talent Management is seeking a recognized expert to join our client as a Head of Ultrasound imaging / Medical Echography M/F. Our client is a cutting-edge & fast-growing MedTech startup, developing a robotic platform dedicated to transcatheter structural heart repair procedures. After securing an important fund-raising, the company intensifies its teams with the ambition to disrupt the field of cardiac surgery to positively impact the lives of patients. Position As a Head of Ultrasound imager / Medical Echography, you will lead a team of experts dedicated to the development of a new-generation cardiac ultrasound system, incorporating AI functions. In close collaboration with the CTO, you will be responsible for the definition, execution and structuring of the R&D activity. You will drive the technical choices while ensuring feasibility. You will have the opportunity to build and grow your team, while cultivating innovation and transverse collaborations. You will lead and challenge a team of Software C++ developers, in charge of developing and integrating the software stacks internally, and artificial intelligence experts, who will develop different modules to guide the probes, for shape recognition and measurements to assist the surgeons. You will also launch and coordinate academic collaborations with the most recognized labs in the world. You will collaborate with probe providers. The scientific and technical challenges to tackle will include: ultrasound image generation and fusion, elastography, probe performance, signal processing, resolution of image quality problems, etc. The position is to be filled nearby Montpellier as soon as possible. Profile You hold a PhD or Master/Engineering degree in medical physics, signal processing or a related field. You demonstrate extensive research experience in medical ultrasound, including a proficiency in signal/image processing and C++ programming. You demonstrate perfect knowledge of wave physics, probe control, ultrasound HW/SW architecture. A track record of medical ultrasound imaging development would be a great asset. A hands-on experience in elastography would be greatly appreciated. At ease working with scientists from different backgrounds, you have a demonstrated experience in leading collaborative research projects. You can conduct scientific watch efficiently and orient the work of others. At ease in a fast-paced startup environment, you have excellent organizational and leadership skills and are recognized as a problem-solver. You can unite and federate a team to achieve the goals and push the boundaries. You are autonomous, agile, pragmatic, dynamic and flexible. While being detail-oriented, you never forget the big picture. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are mandatory, French is a plus.
