Senior Backend Developer [Western Europe]

We use TypeScript and build scalable systems so we can continuously make progress on a solid foundation. We don’t expect you to have a background in everything we use, but we do expect strong JavaScript fundamentals and experience in building scalable infrastructure and backend solutions. Backend: NodeJs, Postgres, Redis, and Rockset. Deployed on AWS. Frontend: NextJs, deployed on Vercel Monitored on Datadog Built-in a monorepo powered by Turborepo Tools: GitHub, Slack, Notion, Linear Tasks Build the backend for various user-facing features Improve database and infrastructure performance Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting for our service so that we can better respond to operational incidents Scale our service via architectural changes as well as infrastructure improvements Improve the DX to multiply the team productivity Requirements 5+ years of experience and 3+ years of experience in NodeJs and SQL databases. Experience with building scalable and reliable systems Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Located in Western Europe.
