We have made acquisitions, set up new businesses, and grown the team significantly (team size 10x growth in last 3 years) - already exceeding 230 professionals.

We are now looking for dynamic and entrepreneurial individuals to be part of the founding team in France! Team France will be a crack squad of specialists in product, sales, marketing, implementation, and support working to build a deep understanding of our users and grow through product leadership in one of Europe's biggest ecommerce markets.

Our goal is to become the first choice solution for any ecommerce merchant or enterprise doing business in France.

As our marketing lead, you will play a pivotal role helping Base.com scale, by understanding the market and generating demand. You will report directly to our DG France (ex Cdiscount, Mckinsey & Co). Experience

  1. 5+ years in B2B marketing - ideally experience in SaaS and/or eCommerce.
  2. Data-Driven: Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to optimizing marketing efforts.
  3. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
  4. Creative Problem-Solving: Resourceful, creative thinker who can develop innovative marketing strategies to stand out in a competitive market.
  5. Energy: Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with sales, product, and customer success teams to build a happy, high-performing team.

Nice to have:

Familiar with the ecommerce ecosystem in France - AMZ, Cdiscount, FNAC/Darty, Rakuten, La Redoute, ManoMano… Shopify, Prestashop, Woocommerce, Magento…

Tasks

  1. Customer Insights & Segmentation: Leverage market and customer insights to understand segments, refine targeting and messaging.
  2. Brand Building: Work to increase brand awareness through content, events, trade shows, and online presence.
  3. Demand Generation: Develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive qualified leads for our sales team.
  4. Content Creation: Craft compelling content tailored for B2B eCommerce audiences, including blogs, case studies, and whitepapers.
  5. Partnerships & Collaborations: Collaborate with industry influencers, partners, and external stakeholders to enhance brand visibility through co-marketing opportunities, webinars, and joint content.
  6. Digital (we are happy to hear from digital specialists or generalists who know enough to work on the below subjects with agencies/freelancers).
  7. Email & Automation Campaigns: Build and manage lead gen and nurturing email campaigns using marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) to drive engagement and conversions.
  8. SEO/SEM: Optimize website content and paid search campaigns to increase organic visibility and performance across search engines.
  9. Data Analytics and CRO: Track, analyze, and report on key marketing metrics (e.g., website traffic, conversion rates, campaign performance) to continuously optimize marketing strategies and drive ROI.
  10. Overall: Build team France! Work closely with our sales, implementation, tech, and support to create a happy, high-performing team and business.
