Believe’s mission is to develop local artists and labels in the digital ecosystem by providing them the solutions they need to grow their audience at each stage of their career and development.Its 2,020 employees in more than 50 countries aim to support local artists and labels with a unique digital expertise, respect, fairness and transparency.To support our fast-growing presence on all continents, we are constantly looking for new Believers to join us and make a stronger and more positive impact on the music industry!Job DescriptionJob SummaryUnder the responsibility of the VP M&A and with a "dotted line" relationship with the Group Chief Legal Officer, the Catalog Acquisition Lawyer will be responsible for all legal issues related to Believe's catalog acquisitions.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide expert legal support throughout the catalog acquisition processCoordinate and oversee the conduct of the legal due diligence process, with a strong focus on intellectual (IP) and content rights issuesAssist in the drafting, negotiations and review of all types of contracts and documents related to catalog acquisitions (purchase agreement, non-binding offers, confidentiality agreements, IP-related representations and warranties, etc.)Assistance in closing and post-closing management such as warranty claims, M&A litigation, etc.Collaborate with various business and cross-functional teams to ensure thorough evaluation and execution of transactionsQualificationsStrong academic legal background (Master's degree, completion of CAPA preferred), you have in-depth knowledge of business law, particularly – in IP – M&A expertise is a plus.Minimum of 5 years of experience within law firms and/or as in-house counsel, with a proven track record of IP/content rights-related transactions.
