Reporting to the Europe Industry Director, the Industry Europe Project Director is responsible for the performance guarantee of the entrusted industrial projects in Europe (Pre-design agreements, Design review agreements, Design & build contracts…). He/she is in charge of the design development once a contract has been signed and monitors the proper execution of the design up to the construction phase. A real project lead, the Industry Europe Project Director has a privileged function in the maintain of the customer relationship, particularly through leading the change management, and in the coordination of the international project design team. You may also ensure the management of M&E packages during the construction phase.KEY RESPONSABILITIES & ACTIVITIESBidding phase:Collaborates with the Industry Europe Design DirectorIf needed, may be asked to replace temporarily the Industry Europe Design Director in this phase and to work closely with the business development team on the sales offerDesign phase:Works in close relationship with the Industry Europe Design DirectorContributes to the development and maintain of the customer relationship and is a key contact for the clientMakes use of the supply chainEnsures the production of all necessary offer’s deliverables (e.g. technical memorandum, design optimization proposals, detailed time schedule, method statement, lump sum cost breakdown, …)Manages all the internal and external resources involved in the designCarries out the technical design and estimating, in collaboration – where relevant – with the business development team and the project team (local and/or Industry Europe), from the kick-off meeting to completion and then the signature of the contractOptimises the design of the building and its technical solutionsIs responsible for the performance guarantee of the designConstruction phase:Collaborates with the local project team during the construction phaseIs responsible for the performance guaranteeParticipates to the monthly steering comitiesLeads the change managementProvides technical expertise to support the construction teamEnsures the respect of the work progress with the designMaintains the customer relationship and remains the client’s key contactEnsures the client’s satisfaction all over the project’s progressIf needed, may be asked to substitute or replace temporarily the local Project DirectorManagement of M&E:Is part of the local project team on the construction siteIs responsible for the M&E packagesProceeds to the purchasing of the M&E packagesIs responsible for approving the sub-contractor’s design of these packagesSupervises the proper progress of work of the M&E packagesGuarantees the performance of the M&E packagesQualifications:Master’s degree in civil engineering and urbanism, M&E or similarExperience of 5 to 10 years in the construction of industrial buildingsSignificant M&E experienceLanguages spoken: fluent English + Italian or Spanish necessary, French appreciatedHIGH LEVEL AVANTAGES #J-18808-Ljbffr
