CDSClear is responsible for clearing Credit Default Swaps on European, APAC and US indices and Single Names for the members and clients currently registered for the service with LCH. Recent innovation has also seen the introduction of the clearing of options.The Service is one of the fastest growing streams across all the LCH business lines and is looking to build on recent successes to further increase market share, in both European, Asian and US markets, as well as increasing the type of products offered for clearing through the service.SA DigitalAssetClear will provide Market participants with access to clearing of cash-settled Crypto Derivatives. LCH DigitalAssetClear is our fully-regulated, segregated clearing solution for cash-settled Bitcoin index futures and options contracts traded on GFO-X, the UK’s first FCA-regulated multilateral trading facility (MTF) dedicated to digital asset derivatives and planned to launch in 2024.CDSClear & DigitalAssetClear staff are located across London, Paris and New York.Role description:The role is for a CDSClear and SA DigitalAssetClear Business Manager in charge of the shared Business Management team that includes Operational Risk, working within each business line’s COO office Team. Significant engagement will be required with CDSClear’s business and SA DigitalAssetClear‘s business aligned teams – Business Development & Relationship Management, Product, IT, Risk and Operations – but also with shared functions including Legal, Compliance, Finance and Shared Services IT teams across London and Paris.2024-2030 is expected to see significant commercially driven projects with the largest delivery being extension of the CDSClear service into the US and the business launch of a new business line dedicated to the clearing of Bitcoin Derivatives (SA DigitalAssetClear).Hybrid work is required (3 days a week in the office).Role profile:The successful candidate will focus on transversal projects and have a multifaceted role that requires a deep understanding of our core business and the ability to lead cross functional initiatives. The role will be based in Paris and could require some business trips to London. Main language could be either French or English (proficiency in English is necessary).The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer of both business lines and collaborate with various teams to find opportunities, solve complex challenges and drive strategic projects to successful completion.This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborate with cross functional Teams and play an important role in the business lines development and deliveries.Key ResponsibilitiesInternal business governance and leadershipMonitor financial performance and provide insights on cost management and resource optimisation.Own Financial modelling, forecasting and ongoing financial management for both businesses.Ensure support to the COO of both business lines.Support and manage the production of reports, memos, presentations required for the internal Group governance (LSEG Board, LCH SA Board, Post Trade reports, Business briefings…) and external presentations (regulators, directors’ induction…).Find opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements.Develop and track key performance indicators to measure progress and success against established objectives.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.Stay informed about the industry trends, competitive landscape and report to senior management.Support the COO of both business lines in overseeing day to day business operations, including but not limited to Finance, HR, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, IT and business lines’ administration.Ensure relevant and effective governance and committee structures operate at business line level and with relevant support functions.Support programmes to improve culture and behaviours across the CCP, and LSEG values.External business governanceSupport, manage and own interactions with CDSClear’s external governance forum i.e. CDC Board, CDSClear Consultative Committee.Support, manage and own interactions with SA DigitalAssetClear’s external governance forum i.e. Operational Committee.Resilience and Audit ManagementManage the CDSClear and SA DigitalAssetClear Operational Risk resources to ensure the business lines comply with relevant regulations and the Group policies.Drive and coordinate the implementation of Resilience-driven projects (e.g. CEP, GORP, DORA) across CDSClear and SA DigitalAssetClear businesses.Work in partnership with the Internal Audit Department to resolve issues and manage actions to ensure Audit Compliance.Lead initiatives to improve efficiency of the operations and reduce operational risk.Collaborate with leadership to foster a risk-aware culture, encouraging all employees to proactively identify and report operational risk.Candidate Profile / Key Skills:Business Manager with proven record in the Financial / banking sector, ideally with Capital Market / OTC experience.Effective Microsoft Office skills for drafting reports, presentations, memos, in particular Excel and PowerPoint.Cross regional internal experience is key including strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French.Experienced in programme and project governance or management from a Business perspective / point of view.Experienced with giving synthetic & complex information and preparing presentations to senior & experienced committee members.Working experience in an international multi-cultural environment.Strong interpersonal skills to build / enable close and effective collaboration with partners based in multiple locations.Preferred Skills:Good knowledge of front-to-back trade flows.Ability to work independently with little supervision and to multi-task, running a portfolio of diverse activities & priorities concurrently.Demonstrated capability to handle and drive a wide & diverse range of initiatives and activities at a given time.Strong analytical capabilities.Adaptability and proactive approach to challenges.Curious and rigorous mentality, team player, fast-learner, hands-on personality.LSEG is a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider.
