Analyst/Associate – Infrastructure Equity Investment (Energy Transition & Decarbonisation) H/FCDI01/10/2024NonCadreMissionsThe candidate will play a key role at all stages of the investment cycle as he/she will, together with the investment team and the wider AET team, conduct market research, support the execution of transactions, manage investments and contribute to the team’s development. His/Her responsibilities will include (non-exhaustive):- Market Research:Conducting market/industry research across the energy transition/infrastructure sectorMonitoring market trends, opportunities and risks to provide regular updates to the teamAssessing the relevance of a variety of energy transition-related investment opportunitiesConducting and reviewing due diligence work performed by third-party advisers (commercial/strategic/market, legal, accounting, tax, technical, insurance, environmental) on target companiesReviewing and challenging business plans, developing a deep understanding of the regulatory/market environment, carrying out risk assessmentsBuilding and/or managing complex financial models to evaluate investment opportunities including cashflow analysis, valuation and expected returnsPreparing investment memoranda to present and recommend investment opportunities to the investment committee- Asset Management:Monitoring operational and financial performance of portfolio companiesParticipating in board meetings with management of portfolio companiesIdentifying and helping implement optimization and/or growth initiatives for portfolio companiesPerforming valuation reviews of portfolio companies on a periodic basis- Team Development:Participating in and contributing to weekly team meetings, investment committee meetings, valuation committee meetingsDevelop new and cultivate existing network of industry contacts to improve access to information for the whole teamRecruiting and supervising internsPart of ARA business line, Amundi Energy Transition (“AET”) is Amundi’s dedicated management company in charge of direct infrastructure equity investment with a particular focus on the energy transition and decarbonisation sector. AET’s goal is to act in favour of the energy transition and decarbonisation by directing investments towards private infrastructure companies linked to the energy and climate transition as well as decarbonization to contribute achieving the net-zero objective. AET targets greenfield and brownfield investments in renewable energy generation (e.g. wind, solar, biogas, waste-to-energy, cogeneration), green mobility, energy storage, hydrogen, energy efficiency, etc. in OECD countries across the full risk spectrum (core, core plus and value-add strategies). AET has c. €1 billion of assets under management and is currently fundraising for new investment vehicles, in particular for its second flagship infrastructure fund.AET is supported by 16 individuals including 8 investment professionals dedicated to originating and executing transactions who benefit from the support of other AET’s teams (asset management, compliance and risk, financial control) and the whole Amundi group. As a result of a fast-growing activity, AET wishes to expand its investment team with the recruitment of a new Analyst/Associate.
