Job Requirements / Description
As a member of our Building Surveying & Environment team, you will be responsable for Environmental Due Diligence (EDD), Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Due Diligence and Sustainability Consultancy, mainly associated to the construction and real estate industry. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Review and compile available environmental information, inventories, review of environmental legislation and establishing contacts with environmental authorities if necessary. On-site auditing of properties for environmental liabilities and environmental risks in close collaboration with the Technical Due Diligence (TDD) team. Assessment of environmental liabilities associated to Environmental Due Diligence. Support to environmental, social and governance risk analysis based on ESG principles (Due Diligence) Assessments of decarbonisation strategies, carbon footprints and biodiversity strategies. Preparation of EDD/ESG DD reports. Remaining in the remit of your role and when additional responsibilities need to be carried out, conduct this in a fully informed manner with the approval of your line manager As a Gleeds team member, you will have access to: Opportunities to develop and grow your career Employee Assistance Programme About You Who we’re looking for: Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills Experience in conducting Environmental, ESG Due Diligence in France - 5+ years. Knowledge in sustainable construction materials and methods. Knowledge of GIS tools Knowledge in the interpretation of national or international environmental legislation. Knowledge in carbon footprint strategies. Ability to handle and interpret large amounts of information and confidential information Experience with teamwork and ability to integrate with teams from other disciplines (engineers & architects). Creativity, willingness to take on new challenges. Fluency in French and English Qualifications Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or simular, or Environmental Sciences.
