Research Engineer - Automated Synthesis of Processor Micro-Architectures for Hardware Security H/FCategoryInformation systemContractExecutiveJob DescriptionJoin our dynamic multidisciplinary technological research team focused on hardware security and SW/HW analyses through formal methods. Contribute to a national collaborative research project aiming to automate the synthesis of processor micro-architectures, specifically targeting embedded RISC-V processors.Main MissionsParticipate in the specification and development of an approach for the automated application of countermeasures at the architectural or micro-architectural levels.Implement architectural models of hardware countermeasures, focusing on fault injection attacks, along with their software support.Analyze the interplay between architectural and micro-architectural features, specifying means to express micro-architectural features in a high-level synthesis flow.Minimum RequirementsPh.D. in electronics or computer science with a background in embedded systems.Significant experience in processor architecture and/or hardware security.Knowledge of RTL synthesis flows, EDA tools, and formal methods is a plus.Comfortable in a multi-disciplinary research environment with a balance between applied and theoretical research.Technical SkillsComputer architecture and programming: Embedded processor architectures, low-level machine code, embedded software, hardware architecture description languages (HDL).Experience working collaboratively with R&D industrial and academic partners.Desired Personal QualitiesAbility to work collaboratively in a team while demonstrating autonomy.Scientific curiosity with a taste for technical challenges.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to understand complex issues.Transverse vision and the ability to take a step back.Rigorous work methods and synthesis skills.Strong communication skills.In accordance with the commitments made by the CEA in favor of the integration of people with disabilities, this job is open to everyone.LocationGrenoble, France or Paris areaReference2023-30100 #J-18808-Ljbffr
