Role Description

As a Technical Architect, you will lead our customers to realise the full value of their integration landscape by enabling them to connect their applications, data and devices. In this role you will serve as a trusted advisor, empowering stakeholders from a variety of based customers and industries with the MuleSoft Platform and our methodologies.

Your Impact within our Team:

Our success is measured by increasing the adoption of our platform within our customers and the value our services brings the customer through enabling them to meet their business outcomes. As a Technical Architect, you will play a critical role in achieving our goals by providing expert services to guide and enable our customers to establish and operate their MuleSoft Platform and successfully realise, manage and optimise their API and integration ecosystem.

Your thought leadership and mentoring will be key for the professional growth of your colleagues and for the continuing evolution of our Practice’s capabilities.

What you will achieve in your first 3 months:

  • Deep dive into the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and ramp on our Professional Services’ approach and methods through formal training, self-paced learning, mentoring and coaching and support from your new team

  • Establish your network across the Professional Services organisation and the wider MuleSoft and Salesforce ecosystem

  • Gain a practical understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a MuleSoft Solution Architect through shadowing colleagues on customer engagements. Contribute to the outcomes by having the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills developed during your ramp period

  • Achieve your MuleSoft technical certifications and feel fully ramped on our technology and implementation methodologies

  • Begin mentorship and guidance of other Services team members and help to build out our team knowledge and capabilities

What you will achieve in your first 12 months:

  • Take ownership of increasingly significant customer engagements where you will provide customer and partner teams with hands-on technical and architectural leadership throughout the development, governance, and operational processes of their API lifecycle

  • Drive significant business outcomes for your customers by enabling them to optimise their adoption of the MuleSoft Platform across their API ecosystem and complex integration landscapes

  • Find opportunities to expand MuleSoft’s influence and to increase the value our services generate for our customers throughout their IT Operating Model

  • Become increasingly recognised as a thought leader by contributing to our knowledge base, supporting the technical and consulting growth of your colleagues through mentoring and coaching and shaping the continued evolution of our Practice

  • Establish yourself as a MuleSoft expert whilst continuing to deepen and broaden your knowledge of our evolving products and the wider scope of technologies and approaches required for the diverse demands of your role

  • Innovate with teams across the wider MuleSoft & Salesforce organisation to enhance our Product and the Services we provide

Minimum qualifications

  • Proven experience leading the architecture and implementation of enterprise-scale integration solutions composed from a diverse range of technologies, integration patterns, approaches and deployment models, such as:

    • MuleSoft or similar products (e.g. Tibco, Dell Boomi, Apigee, WSO2)

    • Event Driven Architecture, Microservices, batch-based processing patterns implementation One or more industry prevalent programming languages (Java or equivalent)

    • Traditional, containerised or cloud based infrastructure

  • Experience in API life-cycle management, from API design and development through to deployment and operations and governance

  • Track record on leading migration initiatives from legacy systems (e.g. monolith applications), integration patterns (e.g. SOA), infrastructure towards more scalable and resilient architectures

  • Hands-on experience of applying DevOps & Agile principles and Software Engineering best practices

  • Success in leading and/or enabling distributed & diverse teams to deliver great results when faced with organisational complexity and ambiguous demands

  • A track record of adding to the team you are in through mentoring colleagues and forming internal initiatives to enhance and evolve the team’s technical and consulting capabilities

  • Full proficiency in French and English

  • Willingness to travel regularly to meet customer needs as required

  • Experience will be evaluated based on alignment to the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer work, etc.).

Preferred Requirements

  • Achievement of “MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect” and “MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect” certification

  • Having acted as a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders (C-level and/or Head of) with the proven ability to build influence and impact change across the wider organisation

  • A track record of experimenting with new technologies and/or contributing to the open source community

  • Experience of learning and applying a variety of technologies outside of the integration domain (e.g. for App or Web Dev) and of carrying roles across the wider SDLC (e.g. QA, Operations, SysAdmin)

  • A passion for continuous improvement where innovation has introduced tangible change to customers and colleagues

  • A polished public speaker with experience of presenting at industry conferences, meet-ups and/or company events

  • Expertise on Infrastructure as a Code and Configuration Management tools (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Terraform, HashiCorp)

  • Expertise on Robotic Process Automation

  • Design of complex integration Use Cases, e.g. massive data migration via batch processing and data streaming (e.g. from IoT devices)

  • Industry specific domain knowledge which has been applied to tangibly increasing the value of a solution implemented for a customer

  • Holding external/third party qualifications and certifications relevant to this role (e.g. Salesforce, AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Strong capabilities (written & spoken) in additional languages prevalent across the EU
