One of our key clients in the EV Charging sector based in Europe is hiring a General Manager to lead the expansion and optimise operations across Europe.

Role: General Manager

Salary: €130,000pa + 40% Bonus + Company Car + Benefits

Location: Europe

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Define strategy and market positioning to secure 150 locations within the next two years.
  • Develop sales decks and pitches to drive growth.
  • Directly manage a team of 2 business developers.

Account Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with location owners to ensure station upgrades, contract extensions, and the launch of cross-marketing initiatives.
  • Recruit a dedicated account manager for the region, contingent on meeting business development targets.

Deployment:

  • Oversee and manage a Deployment Operations Coordinator to streamline and optimize the deployment process, ensuring targeted roll-out speed.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with local Grid Managers.
  • Select and manage reliable, high-quality service providers for installation and engineering.
  • Maintain and enforce high standards of quality for all station installations.
  • Work with the Global Performance Team to maximise station traffic through partnerships with local EMSPs (user-facing charge-point aggregators) and fleets.
  • Ensure stations operate at peak performance, maximizing uptime and enhancing the user experience.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in a business or operations role in a hypergrowth scale-up.
  • Experience directly managing a team.
  • Tri-lingual: English, French and Dutch
  • Strategic mindset with ability to define value proposition, go-to-market strategy, sales funnel, sales messaging.
  • Delivers compelling sales pitches, both written and orally.
  • Obsessed with operational streamlining, optimisation and automation.
  • Self-starter, owner of his topics and goes the extra mile to deliver.
  • Problem-solver and result-oriented.
  • Highly adaptable and versatile, and able to equally master diverse topics and build in-depth expertise.
