The role Under the overall supervision of the Head of Legal BCIO: Provide legal advice on: commercial law, insurance laws and regulations, as well as on business and operations-related issues, Determine, overview and update legal standards and policies, Secure operations and transactions, Manage and protect brand, Provide legal advice with regards to and draft contracts with third parties, as well as intra-group agreements, Overview and manage related disputes, Ensure regulatory compliance of operations, Provide legal support to DPO on data protection related issues. Main tasks Legal support to Allianz Trade group, at global level, in the following fields: Legal support on the scope of the Head of BCIO to Group functions and Regional legal functions Review, draft, negotiate, and interpret: partnerships with banks, platforms and brokers; policy language, legal issues related to the marketing and servicing of insurance policies including digital products Ensure secured cross border business : provide assistance and legal advice to commercial underwriting and distribution teams as well as to regional legal teams with respect to international insurance regulation (follow up and update on a regular basis) Legal support to global projects and business initiatives for different lines of business Set up and review the documentation for intercompany financial flows (mainly intragroup agreements) General contracts with external service providers (IT/non-IT services) : drafting, review and negotiations IP related topics : brand management and protection (registration, renewal and watch, coexistence agreement), EH IP rights protection Interaction with the Regions to analyze and aggregate local regulations or business practices Regulatory and legal watch, and ensure Group Legal and Allianz Trade group awareness on legal and regulatory matters Future challenges Capacity to have a global approach for legal assesment, and to take into account the Group's objectives, including the relationship with Allianz Have a business-oriented and creative mindset Develop a sound judgment on complex legal issues, develop an understanding and a good knowledge on specific regulatory requirements Knowledge/Experience required Masters' degree in law Demonstrated interest to work in an international environment Experience in contract law and contractual matters: drafting and negotiating skills Ability to define legal issues and evaluate legal risks Ability to develop the capacity to work autonomously and pro-actively within pre-defined parameters Analytical and synthesis skills, communication and negotiation skills Attention to detail, excellent follow up, good time management and prioritization are necessary Structured, organised, rigorous Fluent in English and French Team player Allianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
