Scope This role is based in Valence right next to Valence TGV station (Valence Gare TGV) which makes it easily accessible by train (36 min from Lyon Part-Dieu etc) ! Being part of the Point Of Sale terminals R&D, you contribute to the HW development and qualification of the devices designed by the R&D of Ingenico. The purpose of this position is to develop and test RF features for Hardware matters (Chipset & antenna) for all the different technologies (RFID, cellular, Wi-Fi, BT, ...). Key Responsabilities Define the RF specifications: Define product radio specifications according to product specifications and current standards. In collaboration with the mechanical engineer, write the product's hardware specification and contribute to the definition of the radio integration, particularly the antennas. Target the most efficient and competitive solutions In an innovation mindset, deposit patents to protect the Ingenico’s know how. Design and validation: Design radio interfaces (architecture, schematics, simulation and antenna design) and manage implementation (mechanical integration, layout). Qualification (conducted / radiated performances, immunity, normative contours). Get product radio approvals for certifications Analyse information from beta tests and field feedback, to enhance the behaviour and fix issues. Reporting of the tests results Collaboration with different project stakeholders to define the best compromise (RF performance/Mechanical design/Electronic/cost) Production follow-up: Define the tests specifications to be used on the production lines. Analyse data coming from production to manage calibration and detect potential issues Profile You are an electronical Engineer with a clear focus in RF fields. You have at least 2 years of experience in IoT dev or you are a fresh graduated engineer with relevant internships in RF design. You speak French and English at a good level. Important technical skills : RF Rx/Tx and antenna design Cellular, LTE, RFID, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS RF standards EMV L1 & L2 Spectrum analysers RF Simulation (HFSS) LabWindows/CVI Atlassian tools (JIRA) Other important skills : team spirit rigorous factual for deliverables & outcomes analysis proficiency and creative mindset to draw, enhance, fix issues.
