Together, we are shaping the evolution.The OpportunityWorldline is the European leader in the payment and transactional services industry.Opportunity to join a well-positioned international IT and technology group, operating in the fast-growing payment industry.The position is opened within Worldline M&A team, which is part of a broader “Strategy, M&A and Public Affairs” function, working in close collaboration with the Global Business Lines and the other Group Support Functions, notably the Legal and Post-Merger Integration functions.The team has a strong track record of executing value-accretive acquisitions, with a broad range in terms of size, geography and deal structure, as well as successful divestments. It is a unique opportunity to join a well-experienced team in an ambitious group and in a very dynamic sector.The M&A associate role encompasses all M&A activities, ranging from identifying, evaluating, and executing public and private company acquisitions, joint ventures, asset divestitures, minority investments, and other strategic initiatives.It requires a solid financial and technical background and project management skills to support all aspects of the transaction, from evaluation to execution, from idea generation through due diligence, negotiations/transaction structuring, discussion, approval, and integration planning, as appropriate.Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesSector watch and screening in order to identify acquisition targets in line with Group strategyFinancial analysis and valuation of targetsBusiness case definition and assessment of synergiesTransaction structuringPreparation of memos / presentations for the top management and the board / strategic committeesNegotiation of transactional documentation (in support of the head of M&A) within a clear delegation and reporting frameworkPost-transaction follow-up: integration / accounting of the transaction (PPA) / guarantee implementation / Purchase Price adjustment (earn-out)…Who Are We Looking ForBac + 5 minimum (business school or dual training: engineer + business school (with specialization in Finance))Minimum 3 years of experience in M&A / Corporate Finance either in the Transaction Services department of a big 4, or in an investment bankFluent French and EnglishA second language (“fluent” level) would be a plus (Spanish, German, Chinese, etc.)Very good command of Office tools (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)Financial analysisFinancial modeling and valuationInitial experience in project management, managing internal and external stakeholdersGood understanding and curiosity for the fintech sector (Payments, Technologies, Telecom, High Tech, Internet, ...)Know-HowAbility to lead / animate a project, take responsibilities / initiativesAnalytical and structured, attention to detail and ability to step backStrong commitment / Good capacity to work under pressureImaginative, intuitive, open-mindedDynamic / "Hands-on"Reliable and preciseAutonomousField senseTeam playerWe are on an exciting journey towards the next frontiers of payments technology, and we look for big thinkers, people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow.
