Elum Energy is a fast-growing company based in Paris with offices in Morocco, South Africa, UAE, India, Singapore, Mexico & Brazil specialized in monitoring & control solutions for solar power plants. Elum technology allows for simple and optimized operations of rooftop solar plants or utility scale ground PV plants coupled or not with energy storage systems (batteries) and in some cases with existing thermal generation units (diesel generators).Our reference customers are constructors (EPCs) and operators (IPPs) of solar power plants and/or energy producers such as TOTAL, ENGIE, GreenYellow, SolarCentury...Our technology currently equips more than 1000 solar power plants in more than 40 countries, from 100kWp to 100MWp.Those plants directly power factories & shopping centers for example, are built to feed into the national grid (Europe), or are built to power remote / islanded cities (Caribbean, South Asia or in some African countries).Our technology, ePowerControl allows to supervise and automatically control these solar hybrid power plants in an efficient way, and its declination in different by-products allows to manage both "simple" type hybrid power plants in self-consumption and more complex power plants of several MWp in grid injection.We are looking for talented, passionate and creative profiles - sharing our passion for renewable energies - to help us build tomorrow's electricity grid!Main ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement and test control algorithms to optimize the operation of different types of power systems (hybrid microgrids and utility scale power plants) while respecting eventual external constraints imposed by physical characteristics of the system or external entities.The main activities are:Design, implement and test features according to given specifications, with focus on the quality and reliability of the produced work.Coordinate with the other experts of the department to ensure a smooth integration of new features in the whole code stack.Peer review of the work done by other team members to ensure no conflicts, high quality and knowledge sharing.Actively participate in the team organization and contribute in all the rituals to ensure continuous improvement of its efficiency.Participates in the definition of the specification of complex projects to evaluate their feasibility and risk.Preferred ExperienceMinimum education level: Master's degree in engineering (electrical / control / computer science / mechanical / applied mathematics / energy).Experience with power systems and/or hybrid microgrids.Knowledge related to power electronics, photovoltaic energy production and battery energy storage.Advance experience with Python development and VCS git.Basic experience with Linux operating system interaction via command line.Fluency in French and English spoken and written.Recruitment ProcessThe recruitment process is made up of 4 steps, following a positive outcome of these steps, an offer will be proposed to the candidate.Process steps:Hiring manager interview with coding interview.
