The job is based in Paris (11e) and requires speaking French and English fluently.The Engineering teamWe are a team of Software Engineers and Data Engineers based in Paris, Berlin, Madrid. Our mission is to build the right tools and features to support Le Wagon's consolidation and growth. We work in cycles and follow the Shape Up methodology. Our senior engineers have a strong product culture and are involved in our product cycles, from shaping to release and adoption.Our core applications are built with Ruby on Rails, supported by Redis, PostgreSQL, Turbo and Stimulus. We use Git, collaborate via Github, and implement CI/CD with GithubActions. Our deployments are managed through Scalingo, while system monitoring and performance are tracked via AppSignal. We also work with Docker and host services on DigitalOcean and Scaleway, and multiple Cloud services from GCP to AWS.We integrate with various external tools and APIs, including Sendgrid, HubSpot, Zoho, Docusign, Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace.MissionYou will work with senior engineers who have been working at Le Wagon for more than 5 years and who all did the Web Development bootcamp as students, teachers and batch managers before joining the Engineering team.You will work on projects like Virtual Machines on demand for our Data Analytics students who don't have the ability to download PowerBI on their machines. Students can request a Windows VM on GCP in one-click from our Pedagogical platform and access it with a password. Under the hood, it uses the Google API, Github, Github Action and Terraform to manage the infrastructure.Every 2 months, Engineering gathers with a handful of well-identified stakeholders to discuss the next cycle's main needs and how to best invest Engineering work to provide the maximum impact to the company based on the current strategy. Around 15 to 20 projects are built per cycle.
