To help them successfully fulfil their ambition and support their future growth they are looking for a Network Engineer to join the organisation.Overall Job PurposeThey are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join the Network Operations Centre (NOC).Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure proper operation of our client’s infrastructure worldwideImplement solutions for new services and featuresImplement solutions for platform extensions and upgradesTechnical SkillsA sound IT background, specializing in the area of networkingExperience with the management of MPLS/VPLS, Ethernet, and IP networks, and understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects, as well as protocols that are required to build and maintain themExperience with configuring BGP and a good understanding of routing protocolsExperience with creating automation scripts, preferably using Bash and PythonSolid analytical skills to troubleshoot complex, technical problemsGood insight in the structure and relations that make up the InternetKnowledge of Linux/Unix environmentExperience in composing detailed, technical documentationNice-to-HavesUnderstanding of the concept of a route server and Bird configuration experienceKnowledge of VxLAN/eVPNScripting experience in PerlExperience with automation tools like Ansible/SaltSoft SkillsFluency in English, both spoken and writtenGood communication skills and teamwork mentalityAbility to work in a small team of highly skilled professionalsOpen-mindedness, eagerness to learn, and ability to adaptAbility to perform under pressureAdditional RequirementsDriving license (and willingness to drive)Ability to travel occasionallyWillingness (and ability) to give subject matter presentations to various audiencesWhat they OfferWith over 25 nationalities, they value their diversity and foster a collaborative and innovative culture.
