It facilitates co-operation among countries with advanced nuclear technology infrastructures to seek excellence in nuclear safety, technology, science, related environmental and economic matters and law.THE POSITIONThe NEA seeks a dynamic, proven Multilateral Initiatives Project Manager to organise and propel the Agency’s cross-cutting efforts in the area of enhancing member country human resources to implement ambitious nuclear energy deployment plans. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Head of the Office of Policy and Co-ordination and collaborate directly with senior officials of the Agency.Job DescriptionMain ResponsibilitiesAnalysis and DraftingMonitor the implementation of the multilateral initiatives on expanding skills and human capacities, education, training and related areas in the nuclear energy sector.Research information on national practices related to expanding skills and human capacities in the nuclear energy sector.Contribute to policy briefs, press releases, background papers, presentations and other documents related to multilateral initiatives.Implementation SupportSupport the Head of Policy and Co-ordination in organising and implementing strategies, analyses, stakeholder engagement, and fundraising.Provide support to NEA divisions and ensure close co-ordination with other units of the NEA and OECD Directorates.Meetings, Representation and LiaisonMaintain liaison with relevant national administrations and international organisations.Represent the NEA at conferences and international meetings.Other tasks as assigned.QualificationsIdeal Candidate ProfileAcademic BackgroundAn advanced university degree in a relevant field such as engineering, science, psychology, sociology or equivalent professional training.Professional BackgroundThree to five years of professional experience in planning and co-ordinating projects related to nuclear energy.Proven experience in interacting with a broad variety of stakeholders.Experience in managing complex projects within a team and meeting deadlines.Additional InformationCore CompetenciesOECD staff are expected to demonstrate behaviors aligned to six core competencies: Vision and Strategy; Enable People; Ethics and Integrity; Collaboration and Horizontality; Achieve Results; Innovate and Embrace Change.Communication and LanguagesFluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and knowledge of, or a willingness to learn, the other.Contract DurationTwo-year fixed term appointment, with the possibility of renewal.Closing DateThis vacancy will be filled as soon as possible, and applications should reach us no later than 3 November 2024, 23:59 Paris time.Selection ProcessFor retained candidates, written tests and panel interviews are planned for early and end of November 2024 respectively.The OECD is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all qualified candidates. #J-18808-Ljbffr
