Candidate Profile
Postgraduate / Master Degree
Minimum 15 years' experience in business development and M&A (large-scale, complex projects)
Significant experience in the renewable energies sector, particularly offshore wind energy
Strong financial skills
Fluency in English is a must - Another local language would be a plus
Open to business travel
Activities
As a direct report to the Head of Region, the Head of BD Europe will be responsible for delivering competitive offers (for tenders or project acquisitions) in order to effectively grow the pipeline of the Group at various development stages to secure the achievement of the 2030 target.
Market entry and development in the dedicated Region
Oversees regulatory watch of the countries in the respective zone
Oversees market entry analysis and defines and implements the market entry strategy
In line with the approved strategy, identifies opportunities, negotiates and establishes partnerships for projects at various development stages (joint bidding, joint development, co-investment agreements)
Manages in full autonomy the public & private and national & local stakeholders, and participates in relevant meetings, as the Group's representative
Complex Tenders/Projects Acquisition
Defines bidding strategy for specific tenders or acquisitions
Implements bidding strategy and prepares offers: design basis, economical model, shareholder documentation...
Acts as the main point of contact for partners and stakeholders
Leads multi-disciplines project teams (technical, offtake, structured finance, legal, procurement and supply chain, HSE...)
Presents dossiers to relevant internal decision committees and prepares documentation for COMEX reviews
Manages bid / prospection budgets
Initiates execution phases of awarded and/or acquired projects ensuring a smooth handover to the relevant teams (asset management, development, construction management).
