The Global Medical Affairs Director Rare Diseases supports the Global Brand Plan, product development and lifecycle management, in driving late-stage projects and global trials, coordinating local ones, and providing medical guidance and expertise across organization and externally, on a specified scope of Franchise products/projects. Main Responsibilities: Drive and manage all medical affairs activities in close collaboration with the global and local medical affairs as well as cross-functional teams. Represent medical affairs as a proactive contributor in various cross-functional teams. Development and execution of annual global medical plan incl. integrated evidence plan, TL engagement plan and MSL external communication strategy. Drive global and / or international studies in close cooperation with Clinical Operations, regions, and centers in charge of implementation. Ensure GCPs, Ethics and medical compliance are applied within all programs, set-up and coordinate appropriate monitoring processes, in coordination with regions. Identify key collaborative groups or scientific societies to associate in line with GMA strategy, in cooperation with countries / regions and TAs in Development, and set-up and execution of action plans. Develop strong and sustainable relationships with KOL, in line with Franchise global KOL engagement plan. In order to be considered for this role you must have an advanced Clinical/Science degree (ideally MD or PharmD) coupled with extensive experience in Medical Affairs in Specialty Care developing and executing medical/scientific strategies and plans demonstrating a value-add capability and mindset.
