Job Title: Manager, Engineering, Offer/Nevio - Platform, Quality and Transversal Expertise Business Environment The Airline Solutions Engineering division, part of Travel Unit, is accountable for the optimal delivery of the technology and solutions required to achieve the Airline Solutions business objectives. The group encompasses several domains and activities: Offer, Order and Traveler Touchpoints & Experience (former Digital for Airlines), Services, and Transversal R&D. Within Airline Solutions Engineering, Offer is responsible for IT solutions for airlines: building offers adapted to the end-user (with the right price and flexibility) while maximizing airlines' revenue. This area is tech-savvy! We build upon technology: Performance is key to ensure flight search transactions are fast, efficient, and cost-effective; Data processing and machine learning optimize our search, power dynamic pricing, and forecast airline revenue management. We have a rich ecosystem of applications, OBE, data, OJF, or cloud-native SKube. On the business side, we work on critical Airline Solutions functionalities like airline search or inventory, and new solutions with a great commercial dynamic like revenue management, dynamic pricing, or Altéa NDC. One key mission of the Airline Solutions Engineering group is to enable and support our customers in the retailing transformation and to deliver our airline retailing vision: the future of the PSS (formerly known as Next-Gen Altéa, Nevio)! Within Airline Solutions, Offer is at the heart of this transformation: we are building the new Offer Management System with a platform-oriented approach, creating new components with a state-of-the-art microservice/event-driven approach! The Team The mission of our Offer Optimization department is to build the new generation of Price and Product optimization, Retailing, and Cockpit solutions paving the way to Nevio. Within the department, the Platform, Quality, and Transversal expertise team provides solutions to standardize operations, releasing, monitoring, tooling, performance, and quality processes. About the Role: As manager of Offer Optimization Platform, Quality and Transversal expertise team, you will: Lead and develop your team, foster team spirit, and promote innovation. Support all team members, playing a key part in their career growth. Be the Curiosity program entry point and lead the cloud migration for our Offer Optimization applications. Empower your team of experts to influence, support, and guide towards cloud migration, DevOps transformation, and CI/CD improvement. Organize trainings and foster mentoring activities to ease onboarding and enable critical deliveries. Lead discussions about innovative technologies and platform watch to support Agile Release Trains in their architecture runway. Take performance challenges to the next level by leveraging FinOps initiatives. Lead regular working groups on development and quality experience to improve our working environments and day-to-day activities. Common Accountabilities: Result Leader Establish solid relationships with stakeholders (train amigos, SM/PO, BOs, PM...) and empower them. Accountable for the budget, performance, and results of a medium-sized team or multiple teams of employees. Influences resource, budget, and policy planning. Ability to manage time and effort to maximize team efficiency and quality of delivery. Demonstrate ownership for your activities with exposure to complex decision-making. Collaborate with other software development, architecture, solutions, and QA teams to ensure systems are designed for testability, stability, scalability, and performance. People Leader Create a positive and caring team culture that fosters collaboration and knowledge sharing. Encourage feedback sharing within the team. Embark on the talent management journey and provide insight for talent identification & development. Empower team members. Anticipate needs for the team and translate them into concrete development plans for team members. Cultivate an atmosphere that fosters initiative, motivation, and engagement. Thought Leader Has a mid/long-term vision of the activity and business, influencing the department's strategy. Set-up an atmosphere that encourages collaboration and new ideas. Specific Accountabilities: Accountability / Business Acumen Define and share the technical/functional team roadmap according to objectives. Report on team activities. Be accountable for performance and results of a unit within own discipline. Develop plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Suggest alternatives/improvements in processes and operational models. Moderate budgetary impact on business. Decision Making Decisions are guided by policies, procedures, and business plan. Technical Excellence Manage investigation and resolution of production support issues and customer inquiries. Communication Ensure timely communication to team members regarding company information. About the Ideal Candidate: Master's degree in engineering. At least 5 years of experience in a technical engineering role or management role with a strong technical aspect.
