Within the ENGIE Group Strategy department, we are recruiting :A Manager (M/F) Position based in Paris La Défense (92) Missions The ENGIE Group Strategy team is a dynamic team whose role is to enable ENGIE’s EXCOM to take the right decisions necessary to fulfill the Group’s mission to lead the energy transition to a carbon neutral economy. The work of the corporate strategy team is based on four foundations: Challenge conventional wisdom Anticipate changes to come Collaborate with the most knowledgeable Steer through complexity. The ENGIE Group Strategy team works on five types of activities : Perform strategic assessments on topics of importance to the Group and formulate recommendations to the EXCOM, Lead annual EXCOM Strategic Deep Dives and Strategic Seminar of the Board, from scoping of topics, working with executive sponsors and their teams, to integration of decisions in future medium-term planning, Define group wide energy and price scenarios to be used for business development, impairment assessment, MTP, and transversal projects, Carry out competitive intelligence analyses for senior management (Excom, GBU), by identifying patterns and anticipating evolutions in ENGIE’s competitive environment thanks to insights on competition, regulation, and markets, Explain ENGIE’s strategy and vision by working with Public Affairs and Communication Departments to influence regulations and public opinion. The Manager role is expected to work under the supervision of one or more department Directors to oversee projects across several of the activities above, though with a particular focus on: - Coordinating and carrying out competitive intelligence analysis for the EXCOM and the GBUs, - Ensuring strong collaboration with the finance department and conducting financial analysis relevant to the Group’s strategic orientation. The manager will be responsible for producing the underpinning analysis, presenting the results to senior ENGIE audiences, supervising and challenging the contribution of junior team members as well as internal and external collaborators, and providing coaching on the critical skills needed to succeed to more junior team members of the Department. The Manager role should be viewed in the scope of a broader professional development trajectory. The Manager will receive coaching from all Directors on critical leadership skills and gain exposure to senior ENGIE leadership as well as a 360 perspective of ENGIE’s strategy. We expect the Manager to remain a maximum of 3 years in role before seeking to continue to develop within GBUs or other departments. Profile required The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience with a solid experience in Finance and demonstrate proficiency in the following skills: A degree from a leading business or engineering school, with a prior experience or level of seniority that enables to take a strategic view of the Group's financial issues, Strong proficiency in the methods and tools of the Group's Finance Department (M&A, IR, FP&A, AIFA), Understanding the financial issues related to the Utilities sector and having a comprehensive view of reported financial KPIs, Ability to frame strategic questions, structure analysis based on hypothesis and issue trees, synthesize views from different stakeholders, and formulate recommendations for decision, Reactivity, rigor, capacity to manage the planning and delivery of a project, ensure governance expectations are met. Manage stakeholders and leverage internal networks, Ability to articulate complex topics and ideas simply and effectively orally and in writing for top management audience, excellent summarizing and writing skills in English and ideally French as well, Good interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to a demanding environment, Very good command of office tools (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.). #J-18808-Ljbffr
