The postholder will operate within broad operational guidelines but will be expected to use a significant degree of judgement and initiative in the organization and conduct of project-related responsibilities.Job Description:Strategic Project Management (30%)Work closely with Strategic Planning Director to translate Annual Priorities into Annual Operating Plan including the preparation of Project charter and resource allocationResponsible for the development, sustainment, and training of project management tools and business processes along with interfacing with other PMO type positions in Technology Solutions (Engineering, R&D, etc.)Assessing project performance and identifying areas for improvementOperational Project Management (70%)TS Manufacturing PMO will be assigned to strategic projects that are critical to the success of the MAH Technology Solutions business, with the following activities:Oversee and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver these projectsProvide insight, oversight, sequencing and escalations to sponsors and stakeholdersSupport any type of project, irrespective of phase, complexity, priority or involvement with our business partners to help ensure the successful delivery of planned outcomes, on time and within budgetParticipate and/or lead of cross-functional governance committee(s)Contribute to ongoing business process improvements and talent developmentJob Duties:Strategic Planning and Goal settingProject Prioritization and alignmentProject execution and governanceProject Documentation, reporting and archivesProcess improvement, People and Standard DevelopmentKey Competencies:The MAH TS Manufacturing PMO must:Six (6) years experience in project management and demonstrated leadership skillsEnglish fluentHave effective verbal and written communications skills with the ability to influence across all hierarchical levels within the broad AH organization and ability to work across the entire AH organization and delegate work across levels of experienceBe results orientated, able to operate within the matrix organization and to be able to leverage expertise from other functions and departmentsBe a proven self-starter able to work within broad operational guidelines but also comfortable with some degree of ambiguityBe flexible in managing personal and project group working schedules and adaptable in managing short term or unforeseen priorities.Qualifications:Education Minimum RequirementsUniversity Degree in business, science or equivalent with a demonstrated record of solid achievements. Ability to develop, articulate and build support around a long-term goal and implement incremental milestones toward that goalRequired Experience & SkillsSubstantial experience in operational project management, ideally gained in Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Commercial, Supply Chain or FinanceKnowledge of the Technology Solutions businessFor Internal candidates, knowledge of the MAH Technology Solutions and MAH organizationAppreciates and respects diversity, cultures, and normsAdept at working independently and with all levels of the organization, and has demonstrated the following skillsDemonstrated ability to manage resources, time, and budget effectively for given development projects; is business savvy and results orientedWell-developed and effective team facilitation and leadership skills; able to establish cooperative team environmentsPreferred Experience & SkillsMin. 8 years of relevant experience preferred, or equivalent combination of advanced education and experienceWell-connected and networked within the company or has attributes that would allow establishment of such networks rapidlyProven ability to analyze, integrate, recommend, contribute to development of conceptual plans for, and lead implementation of strategic processes, and team improvement and change initiatives cross-functionallyEffective at energizing others, establishing clear goals, delegating responsibility, mentoring and coaching within a team settingAble to understand project details, but keep overall “big picture” view of projects, priorities, and strategiesStrong communication skills, both oral and written. Knows when and how to speak up and appropriately raise issues to team and to management.
