Nissan Vacancies – Battery, Section Manager

Job Description: Nissan is looking for an engineer with experience in battery industry to integrate the technical team of Energy services. The candidate will be based in Montigny, France, and will report to the Technical Manager of the Energy Services team. (ads1) Job Responsibilities: Battery system validation: the battery manager will be responsible to support certifications such as CE, UN, IEC 62619 and to perform internal product validation with quality departments B2B Sales Technical Support: Prepares programs for qualification and develops win strategy. Battery characterization & modelling: the candidate will manage advanced characterization of new and second life batteries and the creation of thermo-electrical models as well as aging models to simulate stationary applications BMS v2.0 development: the candidate will be responsible for managing the development of a new BMS compatible with Nissan battery modules and pack. The main focus will be given to BMS development/improvement and the development of advanced thermal management to improve life and performance of system. Stationary battery pack development, the candidate will be in charge of specifying the pack, managing project (time, cost, quality) jointly with our engineering partners/suppliers. Management of EV charger technical assessment: ensure that RFQs are managed according to Nissan standards and that the selected products are certified and compliant will all national and international regulations. Overall: Contribute to the annual Business Development plan through carrying out research, formulate market analysis and deliver business reports; as well as prepare the annual work plan. Develop and manage the 2nd life module testing, modelling and repurposing: in cooperation with our partners the pre-qualification process of the Renault and Nissan battery modules. Develop in cooperation with partners the stationary storage product portfolio: support our customers/partners to develop BMS and packs compatible with Renault and Nissan battery modules. Supports proposal preparation and maintains customer interface. Submits proposals, makes presentations, handles questions and close the business. Job Requirements: English and French essential; other languages are welcome. Strong product development experience, good communication, good understanding of the battery industry and good cross-functional work. It is essential that this person is able to establish credibility throughout the organization, be viewed as a team player, and work effectively under pressure. A strong background in the battery and energy storage industry. Ideally experience between 10 -15 years in R&D for battery management systems, stationary storage and battery packs. Engineering degree from a recognized Engineering School.
