Faurecia intended to be a key contributor to the Cockpit of the Future of to the Clean Mobility.Faurecia is a developer & supplier for vehicle seats, instrument panels, interior trims, electronic devices for vehicle’s cockpits and Advanced Driving Assistance Systems, as well for clean solutions, to all automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers.Faurecia’s Intellectual Property Group team comprises 40 people based in France, Germany, United-States, India, China and Japan.Faurecia is looking for the IP manager for the Seating Business Group.Thi business group members are located in Brières (50 Kms south of Paris), Hannover, Auburn Hills (Michigan), Shanghai (China) and Pune (India).The Seating IP manager position will be located in Brières and will report to the Group IP Director.THE POSITIONHe/she responsible for delivering the right level of patent services and patent portfolio to the Seating Business Group (BG), as well to advise the business regarding IP matters.He/she validates First Filing decisions according to the IP Group strategy and the Seating BG’s priorities, organizes Patent Committee Meeting to make strategic decisions about patent extensions and portfolio pruning, ensures that Patent Clearance and FTO needs are satisfied at the right level, assess complex and financially risky situations and makes clear recommendation, leads specific tasks agreed with the BG and is responsible for the BG KPIs, portfolio categorization and budget respect.He/she manages the IP staff ( 11 people) reporting directly to him/her, allocates work to other IP members and leads cross BGs tasks/projects in cooperation with the IP Group director. He/she requests/provides support from/to IP Law organization as far as needed for the management of the (future) Intellectual Property Rights and Freedom to Operate of the BG.THE PROFILEThe ideal candidate will have/be:An Engineering Degree or Master’s degree in Mechanics and/or Electronics;EQE certification;Significant experience in patent portfolio management and Freedom to Operate matters, with experience in IP litigations considered a strong advantage;Thorough knowledge of patent laws and procedures in Europe, with knowledge of other countries’ laws being advantageous;Fluency in English is mandatory;Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.FORVIA Faurecia is an Equal Opportunity Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
