Solution Engineer

About The RoleThis role is at the cross function of business and engineering, helping Kaiko’s clients succeed and reach their business goals with Kaiko’s products by finding technology solutions to meet their needs.During the sales phase, the Solution Engineer is responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales and product operations teams as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our solutions. Therefore, he/she must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. He/she will work alongside sales team members to present products to clients and answer any technical questions they may have.During the client onboarding phase, the Solution Engineer is responsible for the successful technical integration of the Kaiko products into the client architecture. This is achieved by providing global advice on a wide range of topics including (but not limited to) development language selection, technical product features training, coding best practices, scalability and stability testing.After a client goes live, the Solution Engineer keeps technical ownership and provides expertise to our support team to help them resolve the most challenging client issues.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the technical sales win sales process from qualification to product trial:Conduct client discovery calls with sales representativesAnswer RFPs, deliver presentations on technical topicsAnswer detailed technical questions, advise clients on available options and best practicesUnderstand client technical environment & requirementsStrategize with the sales and product teams to create customized technical solutions for the clientsCommunicate and sell Kaiko’s technical value propositionDevelop a scalable framework to support client technical assessmentEnsure a successful technical client onboarding:Support clients in the development of their solution using Kaiko productsEnsure Kaiko products are optimally integrated within the client infrastructureSupport a scalable product delivery:Support product operations team to help resolve client technical issuesBuild end-to-end test programs to simulate client use casesBuild and execute a scalable performance testing framework of the Kaiko products in collaboration with the product operations and engineering teamsProvide feedback to the product and engineering teams and suggest enhancements/corrections to the products based on internal testing and client experienceParticipate in regular immersion sessions within the engineering team to stay abreast of the latest technical and product innovationsBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers before and after the saleAbout YouSignificant (5-10 years) software development experience in C++ and/or C#, Python, GolangKnowledgeable about data ingestion pipelines and massive data queryingKnowledgeable about data distribution mechanisms (REST APIs, gRPC, streaming)Worked with, in no particular order: microservices architecture, infrastructure as a code, self-managed services (eg. deploy and maintain our own databases), distributed services, server-side development, etc.Nice to Have:Knowledge of financial markets and financial market dataExperience in the digital assets industryPersonal Skills:Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills combined with empathySolution oriented with a strong sense of customer serviceProblem-solver and challenger of the status quoPays attention to detailHonest: receiving and giving feedback is very important to youHumble: making new errors is an essential part of your journeyEmpathetic: you feel a sense of responsibility for all the team’s endeavors rather than focus on individual contributionsCommitted: as an equally important member of the team, you want to make yourself heard while respecting everybody’s point of viewFluent in written and spoken EnglishLocation: Paris (hybrid)Type of contract: CDIWhat we offer25 paid holidays & RTTsThe hardware of your choiceGreat health insurance (Alan)Meal vouchers (Swile)Contribution to your monthly gym subscriptionContribution to daily commutingRemote-friendlyMultiple team events (annual retreat, casual drinks, etc.)An entrepreneurial environment with a lot of autonomy and responsibilitiesTalent Acquisition ProcessCall with the People team (20 min)Meeting with the CTO (45 mins)Meeting with the Engineering team (1h30)Cross team interview (2-3 persons, 1h)Offer & Reference checkDiversity & Inclusion:At Kaiko, we believe in the diversity of thought because we appreciate that this makes us stronger.
