Job Description

Business Development Director (Hunter)

Reporting Line

The role is reporting to the Global Sales of Energy; remote work is permissible; however, approximately 30%-40% of time will initially be needed in Paris.

Job Purpose

Drive new client sales in the Energy and Plant Engineering business unit. Focused on selling: Engineering Services (mechanical & electrical, hardware & software), Digital Solutions (IoT & Analytics), Business Support Services.

Key Result Areas – Francophone Countries

  1. Develop a pipeline of customers and build relationships.
  2. Leverage sales force and drive lead generation.
  3. Drive for revenue growth and profitability.
  4. Drive business proposals (technical & commercial).
  5. Negotiate contracts, MSA and commercial pricing.
  6. Collaborative leadership with delivery, sales, pre-sales and marketing organizations.
  7. Drives followership and leads by example.

Must Haves

  1. Read, write and speak fluent French.
  2. 10+ years in metrics-driven solutions selling into heavy engineering industry.
  3. Established contacts and relationships at the C-level, VP, and Director levels.
  4. Clearly demonstrated experience in revenue growth.
  5. Strong negotiations background.
  6. Driven complex technical business proposals.
  7. Deal flow - how to structure deals, legal contracts, and master service agreements.
  8. Built eco-system partnerships to help drive revenue growth.

Specific Skill Set:

  1. Fundamental understanding of all phases of project and plant engineering, IoT & Analytics.
  2. Knowledge of sustainable energy, oil and gas, and power plant industry practices and market trends.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) degree in engineering or business discipline.
  2. Strong networking, verbal, and written communication skills.
  3. Excellent professional presentation skills.
  4. Ability to successfully work on a multinational and multicultural basis.
  5. Travel international and domestic up to 50% - requires time in the Reuil Malmaison office.
