Senior Research Associate - India, West Bengal (N-24-38)

The International Potato Center (CIP) is looking for aproactive Senior Research Associate to work in the projecttitled: ‘Developing local Seed Potato Production System in West Bengal’. About the role This position will be based in West Bengal and theselected candidate will be responsible for the Pathology and seed qualityaspects of the project deliverables. This position will be based in Siliguri,West Bengal, India and will report to the Project Manager of West BengalProject. Key responsibilities: The selectedcandidate will mainly focus on these tasks/responsibilities below: Leadand manage research projects focusing on seed pathology, coordinate researchactivities and resources to ensure project goals are met. Designand conduct experiments to study seed health and disease resistance. Analyzedata and prepare detailed research reports, conduct thorough data analysis toidentify patterns, trends, and correlations. Collaboratewith other researchers and departments to ensure project consistency. Provideguidance and supervision to junior researchers, technicians, and interns. Publishresearch findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences. Complywith national and international health and safety laws, regulations, andstandards. Requirements What are we looking for? The selectedcandidate should have the following skills, knowledge, experience, and personalcharacteristics: Ph.D.in Plant Pathology, Seed Technology, or a related field. Atleast 5 years of experience in agricultural research, specifically in seedpathology. Proventrack record of research publications. Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills. Excellentcommunication and leadership abilities. Advancewritten and verbal communication skills in English, Hindi and Bengali.
