You’ll get to work with teams from across Checkout.com’s portfolio of products and services who all have a real customer-first philosophy.As a Software Engineer on our Emerging Products pillar, you will work on specific projects critical to Checkout's needs by fostering innovation and developing pioneering solutions that complement our core enterprise offerings. Our goal is to explore new ideas and technologies, create products that meet the evolving needs of the digital payments space, and ensure our continued growth and relevance.We need our engineers to be versatile, display exceptional leadership qualities, and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.How you’ll make an impactBe part of, and collaborate with, cross-functional teams including product management, across a large engineering communityDefine and design loosely coupled, scalable systems in a wider microservices architecture using industry best practicesStay up-to-date, use, and spread knowledge of the latest technologies used by CheckoutWrite clean, maintainable, extendable and testable code on some of Checkout’s most impactful systemsBuild, own and operate your systems to the highest levels of resilience and service.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldProficiency in .NET C#, Java, Go, or Python, with a strong understanding of software development principles in either a backend or full stack environment.Great communication skills and ability to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholdersExperience working in agile environments and delivering high-quality code within tight deadlinesExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a teamPayments or financial knowledge is a plus, but not a necessityAdditional InformationApply without meeting all requirements statementIf you don't meet all the requirements but think you might still be right for the role, please apply anyway.
